Career And Life Coaching - Top Athletes Do It - Why Don't You Get Yourself A Coach?

Are you right-handed? If yes, most certainly you put on your jacket by putting your right arm in first. Correct? How about next time you put in your left arm first? In case you are left-handed, begin with your right arm.
Any ideas of how this would make you feel? Yes! You'd feel awkward and might even need several attempts before your arm finds the appropriate sleeve and you can wear your jacket.
Why does it feel awkward and uneasy? Because you're reversing your normal pattern of donning your jacket and that's tough. We all have our ways of doing things. As soon as something slightly interferes with these habits, we find ourselves challenged.
Your coach makes sure you don't give up
That's exactly what a good coach does for you: Challenging you to point out to you new and often better, more effective ways to accomplish your objectives. Working with a good coach will guarantee you'll achieve your goals fast and easy and don't give up on them when it seems too hard to get to the finish line.
How does a coach do that? The word coaching literally means "transporting you from one place to another". Athletes, for example, work with a sports coach since they want to move from playing tennis well to playing tennis excellently.
People who engage a career, business, life or communication coach do the same. They want to move from:
an average job with an average income to an exciting job with a high income by improving their communication and presentations skills.
an average performance to an outstanding one by managing their time more effectively.
a poor lifestyle to a great one by finding and setting priorities in their life.
a financial loss to financial freedom by setting and achieving financial goals.
poor health to excellent health by loosing weight.
Regardless if it's in the area of business, career, sports or life in general, any coaching session is basically an intensive conversation between coach and coachee. Its purpose is to trigger a learning process that leads to the desired outcome. By asking the right questions a coach examines your values, sometimes self-limiting beliefs and behavioural patterns. Based on that, you will establish your goals and an action plan of how to reach them.
Don't expect your coach to do solve all your problems. Rather, he or she provides you with a road map of how to get from point A to B. You are the one in the driver's seat. Your coach is your travel companion making sure you continue your journey and get all skills you need to do so.
Your coach stays committed and makes sure you stay too
Andre Agassi's coach can't play tennis like Agassi does, and yet he plays a vital role in improving Agassi's performance. And when Agassi is ready to give up or you seem not to care any longer about that particular job you once wanted, your coach stays committed and makes sure you do too.
Most coaching processes usually take six to ten sessions over two to six months with follow up sessions scheduled afterwards depending on the coachee. Follow-up coaching is crucial. Research shows that without them 87 percent of new skills learned will be lost. What a waste!
I guarantee, if you were into horse racing and had a promising fast foal, you would hire the best coach for your horse to win the one million dollar cup. Don't you think that you and your life are more precious and more promising than any horse on earth?
If you want to seriously improve and achieve more in your life invest in your future. Get yourself a coach who shows you better ways of doing things, supports and motivates you! Discover how easy you can get the success you deserve! You are worth it! Make an appointment today!
