It is one of the most wondrous evolutions in this century. To have someone truly there to help and support you on your journey in life. Would it not comfort you to know that there is someone on your side? Someone that will not lie to you. Someone that will tell you the truth, by bringing the truth to the surface.
There are many people who desire and deserve help in their lives. They want to grow, achieve their goals and visions. Some do take advantage of using coaches others sadly do not. Have you ever wanted to talk to someone who will not evaluate what you are saying, but will actually listen to you? Someone that will help you resolve a problem or do better in life, have a new perspective that will help you live in a more loving manner?
What hurts me more than anything else is when people put a price tag on a service that is worth a lot more than what they think it is worth. We enter perceive values and weigh them as to their affordability and not based on the true benefits where value can not be priced. I could do a commercial on this. New haircut $ 35.00, New suit $ 250.00 a new life Priceless!
We encounter many circumstances and situations in life. We look sometimes for the conventional wisdom to get us through our immediate dilemma. Yet forming the life time habits that will lead to success, we either feel others can't help me or its too expensive. We can in a witting fashion turn the phrase "I can't afford it" to "you can't afford not to do it."
This little witty catch phrase is not an insight of wisdom, it is simply a twisted phrase that can be used on anyone. One of the most incredible points in my life was not anything that I have achieved for myself. The most incredible, heartfelt and joyful moment that I have ever had was when I was in business school. A classmate who I was tutoring received an "A" in his midterm examine. Though he jumped for joy, I believe I jumped even higher. My heart was so filled with love, hope, faith and joy that I was beside myself. Knowing that I assisted, I was not responsible, but that he succeeded, well if anything it was priceless.
I knew then as I know now that the calling is being a life coach. You see people who dedicate themselves to helping others do it because they want to. They don't do this type of business for the money. Some people yes charge a lot of money others not so much, but it really is more about watching a person grow and be better then they were, which really energizes the life coach.
A life coach is not a hired "yes" person. They deal with real issues and problems that people have. Coaches really serve as mentors. They listen and hear, what you are saying, what you are doing, and what you are feeling. They can empathize with you, yet reserve a moment in time, whereby they can introduce you to a new awareness, a different way to think, a skill or tool that you can use to help better your position in life.
Coaching is 90% heart and 10% knowledge. It is in the clients own communication that tells the story. A viewpoint that is delivered honestly, a description that reflects the paradigm that the client is undergoing, is what allows the coach to see what the problem is and assist that client to resolve that issue.
Coaching from the heart is not a hard thing to do. It is what you truly feel the needs and wants of the client is. The coach is dedicated to the results that their client is looking for. It does take some time and it is worth it.
The best thing that I think about being a coach is knowing that you have an impact. That the client who is undergoing a change is going to come out alright. The coach wins only because his client is winning. Whether getting that new promotion or establishing a new relationship or achieving the wealth that the client truly wants is the best thing in life.
The only thing that saddens me is that I can not help everyone. I would truly love to do that. We have to keep in mind that anyone who needs help has the right and deserves to get it no matter what the price. There is nothing like it, to have someone who stands by you, with you, and will hold you accountable for your actions. Coaching is all about empowerment and enrichment not for self but for others. It is through their wins, their success that you had something to do with that makes it all worthwhile.
A life coach is about welcome, it about letting that person in with out stretched open arms, an open mind and an open heart. To bring into being that wonderful person that they service to greater expansion, awareness and success in life. There is so much that you can get out of a book, but there is so much more that you can get from experience and live communication. The life coach is there to complete you, guide you, mentor you and help you become that person that is already inside you, yearning to come out.
The life coaches concerns are your concerns, he wants for you, what you want. They are there to help you and assist you on your journey no matter where that takes you. They are your mentors, your family and your best friend. They cry for you, they laugh with you and they are always there for you. What a wonderful thought that is. If you are having trouble in life or want to do better hire a coach and the results to a new you is "priceless."
